If you’ve driven in the UAE for a few years, this one could suit you. Emirates Transport (ET) mostly wants people with one to two years of relevant experience, and it’s open to men and women of any nationality aged 25 to 45. Drivers with bus or school route experience have the strongest case, though light vehicle and chauffeur backgrounds count too.
Which roles are open
ET has openings for light drivers, bus drivers and chauffeurs. It’s also taking on school bus drivers and bus attendants, whose job is to get students to school and home safely. For the school roles, good character and past work with young children carry real weight. Outside driving, the company hires across transport, logistics, procurement and marketing.
Jobs are full-time and permanent. Postings can cover Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi or other parts of the UAE, so check the location on each post. A commute from Sharjah to a Dubai school route looks very different from one that stays inside Dubai, especially on early morning runs.

Pay, benefits and what you need
Drivers usually earn between AED 2,500 and AED 5,000 a month. Manager, customer service and admin roles tend to pay more, though the posts don’t give figures for them. Pay also depends on the role and your skills and experience, so be ready to talk about your background when pay comes up.
The package includes a free work visa, health insurance, paid annual leave and end-of-service gratuity. You also get a food and housing allowance, plus free transport. Everything follows UAE labour law, so read your contract closely before you sign.
The licence is the first thing to sort out. Bus driving needs a valid UAE driving licence, and light vehicle and light bus roles ask for one too. Your driving record should be clean, and you should know Dubai’s streets and main places well, since routes depend on it. Past bus driving work is on the list, and first aid knowledge is expected. Experience with children helps your chances, though it isn’t always required.
English should be good enough to talk with parents, staff and students, and basic Arabic helps. The minimum education is high school, but the education line can change from one post to the next, so read each one carefully.
