Job Description
There’s this opening for a Guest Service Assistant in the Sports and Leisure department at Jumeirah Messilah Beach. You know, the role involves a bunch of key duties. Like providing courteous and professional service all the time. Welcoming guests, greeting them and members too, then explaining and upselling the facilities and services that are available. Assisting with phone calls, answering within three rings while keeping standards, etiquette, and patience going strong. Handling guest messages and communication needs accurately, basically. Making sure guests get directed to the right spots and connected with the proper services.
Scheduling reservations for Personal Trainers for guests, and coordinating staff schedules to keep things prompt. Helping out with admin stuff, filing, inventory for product supplies, and whatever else supports management and operations. Reporting any problems or complaints related to Sports and Leisure. Communicating through the logbook or staff meetings, depending on how urgent it is.
Liaising with other departments to confirm reservations, process engineering requests, and keep cleanliness up. Understanding all the current activities and promotions in Sports and Leisure and the hotel overall. Maintaining daily operations, that includes opening, operating, and closing procedures. Participating in scheduled training programs and attending internal Sports and Leisure meetings. Recording guest requests, complaints, or engineering requests in the appropriate logbook.
About You
You need at least 2 years of experience in the same role at a five-star hotel. Solid administrative skills are a must. Be fit, have a positive personality, and look presentable. Strong English communication skills, I mean really strong.
