QatarEnergy is hiring a Maintenance Planning Engineer to work in Mesaieed Operations in Qatar. This role focuses on planning and scheduling maintenance work across the company’s operating areas, using SAP to manage maintenance data and produce planning records.
Main responsibilities
- Prepare all maintenance plans, schedules, reports, historical records and programmes for preventive, corrective, inspection and general maintenance.
- Cover the Mesaieed areas, including NGL plants, storage and loading areas, tank farm and terminal areas, and gas distribution stations.
- Enter and manage all maintenance data in SAP.
- Plan and schedule maintenance jobs effectively using the SAP system.
- Prepare planning schedules, reports and documents for short-term and unplanned shutdowns in Mesaieed Operations.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of maintenance experience in a similar oil and gas environment, including at least 5 years in the maintenance field.
- Remaining experience should be with a computerised maintenance management system.
- At least one year of experience in SAP.
- A bachelor degree in any engineering discipline or an equivalent qualification.
How the role works
The post holder works independently to process, interpret and share information with maintenance operations and planning staff. This work follows overall maintenance procedures and plans. Matters relating to changes in the system are referred to a higher level. Routine tasks are reviewed and discussed from time to time, and the work is subject to a general review of progress and achievements.
A maintenance planning engineer usually builds the work schedules that keep plant equipment serviced on time, and keeps accurate records so that future planning and shutdown work can be carried out smoothly.
