Yemek Doha Catering Services in Qatar is recruiting a Senior Storekeeper to oversee the day-to-day running of a store or warehouse facility. The role suits an experienced storekeeping professional who can manage stock, lead a team and keep operations safe and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the receipt, storage and issue of goods and materials, keeping accurate records.
- Lead and train storekeeping staff, assign tasks and monitor their performance.
- Work with procurement teams to replenish stock based on demand and consumption.
- Keep storage areas, shelving and inventory systems organised so goods are easy to find.
- Check incoming deliveries for damage or defects before they enter stock.
- Enforce safety and security rules, including the safe handling of hazardous materials and fire safety.
- Deal with suppliers and vendors over deliveries, returns and discrepancies.
- Make sure equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is well maintained.
- Look for ways to improve storekeeping processes and productivity.
What You Will Need
- A minimum of five years of work experience, including at least three years in a relevant role. Two years of GCC experience is a plus.
- Sound knowledge of inventory control, including stock rotation and cycle counting.
- Strong leadership skills and a clear, confident communication style.
- A good understanding of warehouse layout, storage methods and handling procedures.
- A keen eye for detail and accurate record-keeping.
- A diploma in Material Management or a related field.
Other Details
The role also involves supporting health, safety and environment (HSE) initiatives and taking part in safety awareness activities. The successful candidate will contribute to incident reporting and resolution in line with company and IMS policies.
