Elegancia Arabia Trading is recruiting an Employee Relations Team Leader in Saudi Arabia. The role supports the department’s employee relations programmes, policies and procedures, and focuses on maintaining good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote employee satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Help carry out the department’s short and mid-term plans, promoting customer-centric services and fair, transparent people practices.
- Monitor and track the performance of direct reports, recommending corrective action where needed.
- Oversee daily attendance records for direct subordinates and analyse the monthly payroll attendance report, preparing warnings in line with the sanction matrix.
- Advise the business and stakeholders on employee relations matters, including attendance, grievance handling, discipline and employee separations.
- Investigate reported indiscipline, misconduct and grievances with strict confidentiality, leading disciplinary procedures where required and reaching fair, unbiased resolutions.
- Communicate employee action letters, such as promotions, salary adjustments and disciplinary actions.
- Keep employee documents filed throughout their lifecycle and stay up to date with current employee relations legislation.
- Ensure HR direct subordinates follow company policies and procedures, and support HSE initiatives and incident reporting.
What you will need
- Proficient knowledge of labour laws, regulations and best practice in employee relations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in conflict resolution, negotiation and mediation.
- Analytical skills for assessing employee feedback and spotting trends.
- Empathy and emotional intelligence.
- ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, which are required for the role.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 8 years’ working experience, including 5 years’ relevant experience. GCC experience is a plus.
