Elegancia Mechanical Engineering Company S.P.C is recruiting a Senior Welfare Officer to join its Human Resources team in Saudi Arabia. The role centres on managing employee welfare programmes and supporting workers’ wellbeing, both at accommodation sites and on site.
Key responsibilities
- Handle employee relations matters, including interaction between workers, contractors and clients.
- Receive and resolve workers’ issues at accommodation and on site, working closely with HR and Safety colleagues.
- Support workers who show signs of mental depression or personal difficulties, and promote the general wellbeing of residents.
- Define programme guidelines with HR and HSE departments and organise activities that improve staff welfare and cross-cultural exchange.
- Attend workers’ committee meetings and make sure labour grievances reach the right people and are closed promptly.
- Counsel and motivate employees on personal, family and work adjustment matters, and build sound relationships between employers and employees.
What you will need
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations relating to employee wellbeing.
- Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with employee benefits, including health insurance, wellness initiatives and counselling services.
- Effective communication skills and a commitment to improving wellbeing programmes based on feedback.
- ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, which are required for the role.
- At least 5 years of work experience, including 3 years in a relevant role. GCC experience is an advantage.
- A Bachelor’s degree in any related field, or a diploma.
