QatarEnergy is hiring a Head, Project Engineering in Doha, Qatar. The role is the senior discipline engineering authority for the Infrastructure and Civil scope of the QatarEnergy MIC Business Park Major Project. The post holder leads and oversees all discipline engineering work across the full project lifecycle. The aim is to keep technical standards high, make sure engineering decisions stay sound, and keep the project on track with its objectives.
This is a senior leadership position. It combines strategic engineering project management with close oversight of technical delivery, so that the project produces safe, high-quality and cost-effective results that meet company standards and industry good practice.

Responsibilities and focus areas
- Lead and govern all discipline engineering activities for the Infrastructure and Civil scope
- Make sure engineering work across the project lifecycle is technically strong and well integrated
- Manage the project’s engineering direction, time, cost and quality
- Apply company systems, processes and engineering standards consistently
- Lead and guide discipline engineering teams on the project
- Lead multi-disciplinary meetings and present project progress
Requirements
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in Infrastructure and Civil projects
- Experience delivering parks, public realm, landscape and related civil infrastructure projects
- At least 10 years of experience leading discipline engineering teams on major projects, including at least 5 years in team management or a similar leadership role
- Strong background in project management, discipline engineering, construction and supervision, across all project stages
- Wide experience applying industry best practice and working with company systems and engineering standards
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, conflict-resolution and presentation skills
- Excellent English, including strong report writing and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in complex, multi-project environments
Education and qualifications
- A Bachelor degree (B.Sc.) in an engineering discipline from a recognised university
- Membership of a recognised professional engineering association or institution
- A higher degree is an advantage
- PMP certification is an advantage
