QatarEnergy is recruiting a Budget Analyst to work in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on preparing and managing departmental budgets, watching spending closely, producing financial reports and keeping costs under control throughout the year.
In general, a budget analyst works with department managers to compare planned costs with actual spending and to flag where money needs closer attention.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage budgets for departments.
- Monitor spending against budgets during the year.
- Provide financial reports.
- Make sure cost control is effective all year round.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in budgeting, costing or planning work, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Within those 4 years, at least 3 years in a commercial role connected to cost and planning.
- A bachelor degree in business, finance or accounting.
Skills
- SAP knowledge is preferred.
- Confident, hands-on use of a computer, including MS Word, MS Excel and BI analytics software.
Recommended Qualifications
- CIMA, CPA or an equivalent certification.
- Advanced Professional Accounting, Cost Engineering or Systems Analysis.
