QatarEnergy is hiring a Senior Project Engineer to work in Doha, Qatar. The role covers full project management for every capital project assigned to the post, from the first concept stage through to commissioning and final handover.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage each assigned capital project from inception to commissioning and handover.
- Make sure projects finish on schedule and within budget.
- Carry out all work safely and in line with project requirements, specifications and standards.
- Coordinate with engineers from various disciplines during concept optimisation studies, FEED and EPIC.
- Take part in offshore project work, including construction, installation, hook-up, commissioning, start-up and handover.
Requirements
- A minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in engineering, project management and the execution of oil and gas projects.
- Experience coordinating engineering work across different disciplines in concept, FEED and EPIC phases.
- Experience with offshore projects, from construction through to handover.
- Good communication and team building skills, including giving presentations, writing reports and managing meetings.
- A Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in an engineering discipline from a recognised university.
Desirable Qualifications
- A higher degree.
- Membership of a recognised professional engineering or project management association or institution.
