QatarEnergy is hiring a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer (Offshore) to work in Doha, Qatar. The role provides technical design and engineering services in civil and structural offshore engineering for all engineering projects the post holder is assigned to.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical design and engineering services in civil and structural offshore engineering.
- Make sure the technical quality of work follows QatarEnergy procedures.
- Consider quality, schedule, cost and health, safety and environment (HSE) on every task.
- Manage engineering work across more than one project at the same time.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant engineering experience after graduation, including 6 years in the oil and gas industry.
- A bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- The ability to identify and apply relevant engineering standards and codes for civil and structural offshore engineering.
- A proven record of managing time, cost and quality on engineering projects in a multiple-project environment.
- Good communication and presentation skills, with fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer status, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred.
About the Role
This is a senior technical position based in Doha. In general, a senior civil or structural engineer working offshore reviews designs, checks that engineering standards are followed and explains technical findings clearly to project teams. Strong written and spoken English helps the post holder work well with colleagues and present their results.
